WHAT CAN I DO
In the two experiences that we propose, you will enter the peculiar world of the Delta, especially in the workings of the natural and human aspects of its ecosystem. A must-see is the Ecomuseum of the Delta de l’Ebre Natural Park where you can learn about its valuable ecosystems (rivers, bays, lagoons, dunes, salt marshes and rice fields), as well as the traditional activities carried out in each one (navigation, fishing, hunting, rice cultivation, salt collection).
1. A river of flavours: The experience will allow you to participate and get to know activities related to the most typical gastronomy of the area. Some of these activities are: a boat trip through oyster and other molluscs to get to know how they grow; the cultivation, breeding and collection of these molluscs, and finally a tasting of local products, visit to a rice field and visit the only wooden mill in Catalonia.
2. A river of traditions: You cannot miss the opportunity to get to know the rice paddies, their traditional farming systems, their typical fishermen’s barracks, their old navigation system and other local customs, and participate in activities such as the traditional cultivation of rice, boating in percha boats, the bowling contest and the demonstration of traditional fishing art.
