THE EXPERIENCE The shelters crossing of Cadí-Moixeró. The staged circular route Cavalls de Vent offers a great range of attractions to pure nature lovers. With more than 80 Km it is home to 30 habitats and 30 diff erent animal and plant species of European interest. The route goes through the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park, and can be done in various stages, making it available to all types of public, from families, to adventurous people who want to try it on their own.

The route on its own is a reward for those that want to unite sport and nature in one unique experience. From the great panoramic views, you will encounter throughout the way highlighti ng the landscapes of the Cerdanya, Ripolles and Berguedà valleys, to the possibility of seeing diff erent animal species such as deer, foxes, wild pigs and birds such as black woodpeckers or even owls, will make your adventure an unforgettable memory.

WHAT CAN I DO The path goes through more than 80 Km of the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park, running from 902m – at the Bastereny River valley – and 2.513 m of altitude, accumulating a positive vertical drop of 4.800 m. The hiker is surrounded by various ecosystems and emblematic sights such as the summit of the Tosa and the Penyes Altes del Moixeró, the north face of the Cadí, the Pedregosa and Gisclareny Serras, the mythical Pedraforca, the Gresolet, the Empedrats and the Bastereny and Gréixer valleys. You can also contemplate diverse disseminated “caserios” and old buildings full of history like the Gresolet Sanctuary, the hermitage of San Marin del Puig and the Church of Sant Andreu de Gréixer.

The route can be done by foot, on a bicycle, and some sections even horseback riding. Accommodation along the way will be in one of the 8 mountain shelters in which you can live amazing experiences, from enjoying the gastronomy to having a calm and peaceful rest in front of a fire, or simply enjoy one of the best sunsets of the Pyrenees.
