Solsonès, a country of traditions and gastronomy.
Come taste the best products of the land in a territory full of history, where gastronomy is a faithful example of tradition.
The landscape, the isolation and the poverty have endowed the cuisine of Central Catalonia with differential characteristics, with perhaps the conservation of mountain crops being its most relevant feature.
The “trumfo” is a very tasty late potato of excellent quality and, which benefits from the peculiar
characteristics of the alti tude of the cultivated areas of Solsonès. In fact, this region has long been the potato farm for other Catalan regions.
Another star product is the black pea, which is grown only in the area and although it is highly prized among the local consumers, is not very well known outside this territory, and has been preserved because it is one of the few varieties which adapt to the mountain climate.
