Trekking, cultural patrimony and nature.
Do you know the fascinating history of the Cathars, also known as the Good Men?
The Cathars were profoundly spiritual and radical in their ideas, which opposed the Catholic Church, rejected materialism, treated their women equally, defended free love and confirmed that hell did not exist. These men, considered to be heretics, questioned the authority of the Catholic Church of the twelfth century and ended up being persecuted by religious institutions until their eradication.
But like every free man and faithful to their beliefs, they left a mark wherever they passed; a trace that today we can still follow on two routes that cross the Pyrenees through Catalan and French lands: The Path of Good Men and the Path of the last Cathar. We invite you to do the complete itinerary which you can do by foot, on horseback or in mountain bike.
