THE EXPERIENCE Poblet and its surroundings through gastronomy. Enjoy the experience of collecting truffles and learn everything related to these delicious black diamonds of gastronomy: from the geological conditions that make possible its appearance to the local recipes that squeeze its full potential, after having experienced their collection in the mountains with the help of trained dogs.

During the visit you will also get to know more about the mysterious world that revolves around the truffle. We will talk about its current culinary value; of the first signs of its existence in the year 1000b.C. when the Romans already considered the truffle as an exquisite food; because in the Middle Ages it was classified as a demonic product or we will explain how the French introduced the search for this fungus in the peninsula in the 19th century.

WHAT CAN I DO Come and spend a unique and different day combining the truffle with a visit in an off-road 4x4!
The tours depart from Vimbodí from which you are taken to the farms where the truffles are extracted, a place of extraordinary beauty next to the mountains of Prades.

You will then take a tour of the Vilanova wine region, located between 800 and 900 meters above sea level and overlooking the Serra de la Llena, where there is a rugged, dry and wild landscape, the mountains of Prades and Montsant.

The visit includes a wine tasting at a winery, or the option to visit an olive farm in the surroundings, and its windmill. To end the experience, nothing better than being able to taste some of the gastronomic products of the area out in the fields or at a restaurant.

The visits are aimed to both the general public and professionals working with truffle who want to know more about this precious product, as well as its endless culinary possibilities.
