Col·lectiu Eixarcolant’s work is focused on the recovery and the dissemination of the knowledge and uses of edible wild species and of the traditional farm varieties in order to turn them into a tool that allows to develop a production, distribution and consumption model that is more sustainable and affordable based on proximity and quality that dignifies farmers work and that maintains the diversity of the native landscapes.
Eixarcolant carries out research, training, territorial dissemination and consulting projects following a rigorous scientific methodology. All its actions are centred on social, supportive and non-profit economy.

This ethnobotanic walk will allow you to know about the culinary uses of wild plants. Col·lectiu Eixarcolant offers you this guided tour to discover wild edible plants as well as traditional varieties so that you can recognize and identify them wherever you go. Whether in the middle of the forest, in old vegetable gardens surrounded by dry stone walls, along the streams, or in the heart of the village, those species are much closer than you imagine. Just open your eyes to discover them and start using them. You will always be accompanied by an ethnobotanist who will pleasantly and funnily tell you all about the different uses of the specimens that you will find on the way. All audiences. After a walk through the surroundings of the lovely village of Jorba, which host endless wild edible plants and traditional farm varieties, you will learn about how to identify them, pick them properly and use them. Then, with the species and varieties you have gathered as well as with other local and seasonal products, you will cook several amazing and delicious dishes. Assessed by the expert who will be with you all the time, you will choose the recipes you want to follow. After that, you will taste everything you have prepared and check the results and pairings.
