Els Corremarges is a cooperative that works for the recovery and dissemination of the popular uses of vegetation. We implement a series of projects from La Sala de Comalats, a small village located in Baixa Segarra.
To recover local knowledge on plants, we do ethnobotanical research interviewing locals and consulting the archives and the bibliography available. These data are then disseminated through our workshops, talks, guided walks and other activities.
As we mainly focus on wild edible plants, we are also gatherers and producers. We grow and harvest flowers, herbs and fruits to produce handmade preserves with forgotten wild fruits. We love plants and their uses and are happy to share our passion. Contact us to enjoy nature and its secrets together!

This walk will allow you to discover the flora of the nearest landscapes from an ethnobotanic point of view. Plants can be toys for kids, they feed us, heat us and help us build all kinds of things. They are a source of inspiration for poets and inventors imitate their natural genius. They help us cure human and animal diseases and are present in architecture, religious symbols, believes and superstitions. In a cool but rigorous atmosphere, we will tell some stories and anecdotes that will make you understand that nature and culture are not contradictory and that preserving biodiversity also helps us to maintain our intangible heritage. Duration: 3 hours. All audiences.

The workshops on wild food cooking will allow you to discover the world of edible spontaneous plants, show you the possibilities they can give in the kitchen and make you aware of your immediate vegetal reality. This is a practical workshop whose participants will learn how to use the best edible plants of the local landscape. The activity starts with a short introduction about how to identify and collect the plants, followed by their culinary applications and the making of 3-4 dishes, and finishes with the tasting of the dishes made during the workshop.

Els Corremarges produces its preserves in the shared workshop of Cooperativa Tres Cadires, in Arbeca, and belongs to the Association of garlic producers of Belltall, to the Association of producers of Vall del Corb and to the Network of small producers Mosaic de Secà. We believe that networking and cooperation are essential tools to maintain rural communities’ well-being. We invite you to experience and taste this networking in the heart of nature through a commented tasting and pairing session with local products. According to the season and the personal needs, we combine our wild products with other close producers’.
