Wild food cooking workshop

The workshops on wild food cooking will allow you to discover the world of edible spontaneous plants, show you the possibilities they can give in the kitchen and make you aware of your immediate vegetal reality. This is a practical workshop whose participants will learn how to use the best edible plants of the local landscape. The activity starts with a short introduction about how to identify and collect the plants, followed by their culinary applications and the making of 3-4 dishes, and finishes with the tasting of the dishes made during the workshop.

After a first online theoretical part, we go for a practical outing in the field to see the contents of the course in situ. For example, a person who loves photography can take unique pictures thanks to the techniques he/she has learnt and on the place they have also talked about.

Visit of Sant Urbà and Monclús

Discovery of Monclús monumental ensemble (chapel, castle and medieval village) and Santa Linya village. The outing will allow you to know all about the flora, fauna, geology, history and legends of this mysterious remote place. The trip can be done by car or on foot (1-3 hours). The trail is quite flat and sprinkled with numerous points of interests that are being explained on the way.

Donkey ride/walk

During this 2-hour ride/walk with the donkeys, the adults will hold the donkey’s bridle and learn to communicate with the animal while the kids (under 12) will be sitting on the xauma (traditional saddle). The paths will lead you through fields of olive trees, vineyards, forests of the eastern part of Serra de Montsant, and some emblematic places of the region such as La Foia, La Covassa and Les Coves Altes.
